IT requires a special tool, a three jaw puller.

To remove the harmonic balancer from a 1995 Pontiac Bonneville, first disconnect the negative battery cable and drain the engine coolant. Remove the drive belts, then use a harmonic balancer puller to detach the balancer from the crankshaft. To install the new harmonic balancer, ensure it's properly aligned, then press it onto the crankshaft and reassemble all components in reverse order. Finally, reconnect the battery and refill the coolant.
To remove the harmonic balancer on a 1995 Honda Passport, first, disconnect the battery and remove any belts obstructing access. Use a socket wrench to remove the crankshaft pulley bolt, then employ a harmonic balancer puller tool to extract the balancer from the crankshaft. Ensure to follow safety precautions and consult the vehicle's service manual for specific torque specifications and procedures.
a bad harmonic balancer
disconnect the battery, remove the bolt in the center of the pulley, then use a harmonic balancer tool to remove it
3800? It needs a new harmonic balancer.
it is behind the harmonic balancer.
The crankshaft sensor is located behind the harmonic balacer. you will need a puller with special bolts to remove the balancer.
Start by removing the right front tire and support the vehicle with a jack stand. Then remove lower portion of the splash guard near the harmonic balancer. Remove all drive belts. First remove the A/C alternator belt. Loosen the 14mm bolt at the front of the belt tensioner and then loosen the tensioner bolt (it is the one that's sticking straight up, you use a 14mm socket on it.). The power steering adjuster bolt will be accessed from the bottom near the power steering pump. It has a 12mm bolt head on it. You will break the jamb bolt loose first and then loosen the adjusting bolt. Remove belts. Then remove harmonic balancer bolt (19mm). If the harmonic balancer will not slide off the crankshaft then use a two finger gear puller. Place the harmonic balancer bolt back in the crankshaft but do not tighten it. Leave it about a half inch from being all the way in. Next place the puller on to the harmonic balancer. (one finger on each side securely press into the belt groove.) The center puller bolt will rest against the harmonic balancer bolt head. Tighten the puller bolt and make sure the harmonice balancer bolt does not turn. The balancer should come off at this point.
It is behind the Harmonic balancer at the bottom pulley on your motor.
To replace the crank seal on a 1995 Pontiac Firebird with a 5.7-liter engine, first, disconnect the negative battery cable and remove any components obstructing access to the crankshaft, such as the harmonic balancer. Use a crankshaft pulley puller to remove the harmonic balancer, then carefully remove the old crank seal using a seal puller or similar tool. Clean the sealing surface, lubricate the new seal, and gently press it into place before reassembling the harmonic balancer and other components. Finally, reconnect the battery and check for leaks.
you need a gear puller so you don't damage it.
