To remove the clutch pedal switch on a 2003 Hyundai Elantra, first, ensure the vehicle is in gear and the ignition is off for safety. Locate the switch mounted on the clutch pedal assembly, typically near the top of the pedal. Disconnect the electrical connector by pressing the tab and pulling it off, then remove the switch by unscrewing it or twisting it counterclockwise, depending on the design. Its at the top of the clutch pedal there is a cruise control switch disengage switch at the bottom and the one above that is the clutch inhibitor switch.

It's the regular clutch position switch at the top of the pedal... the "safe start" feature is a matter of programming in the engine ECM.
