- If car is equipped with Delco Loc 2 or Theftlock audio system make sure you have the activation code first before disconnecting the battery cables
- Detach any brackets or braces that would interfere with the removal of the battery then remove the hold-down clamp from the battery carrier
- Carefully lift the battery out
