How do you replace drive belt on 425009x8A lawn tractor?

The biggest hurdle comes from the fact that the belt must run around the steering post. The best way is to:

1) Drop and pull the cutting deck out from under the mower (5 cotter pins)

2) remove the steering wheel

3) remove the plate below the steering wheel (has two phillips screws)

4) access is large enough to feed the belt down through the opening

5) while plate is off, manipulate the steering post to allow the belt to move on down past a bracket within the housing

6) replace the plate, replace the steering wheel

7) turn attention to below the mower and feed the belt around the front drive pulley

8) in order to feed the belt to the back drive pulley you will need to release a pin on the clutch and manipulate the belt. Replace the pin

9) Depress the clutch peddal to get the belt around the smaller black tension pulley.

10) pull cutting deck back under the mower and replace the 5 cotter pins
