If it's a gas engine, there's an inline fuel filter which runs alongside the frame rail. If it's the 6.5 Detroit Diesel, it's a spin on fuel filter.
Its located under the drivers side seat underneath the car. It has two small clamps that hold it and a braket that has a small screw that will needed to be removed to replace the filter
If you slide under the front of the IX35 you will see a round plastic cap that is fitted to the plastic guard underneath the motor. The cap has a plastic clip to hold it in place, so just push the clip in and the cap will come off. You then have a plastic filter cover with a large plastic nut on the bottom and a small allen key bolt in the middle of it. The filter is a replacement cartridge filter and costs $59 in Australia. To replace the filter undo the small allen key bolt to let the oil out of the filter housing and the undo the housing. Remove the cartridge filter and replace with a new one. Replace the O rings ( comes with the filter ) and torque to correct specs.
Open the glove compartment. Remove small back panel. Remove filter cover (2 clips). Push down filter frame and pull straight out. Remove old filter and replace with new one. Installation is the opposite of removal. Hope this helps! Bobby G 2007 SC-430

check fuel pressure while accelerating if it drops replace fuel filter. these filter are small and clog fast if there is more then 20k miles on filter its clogged. if pressure check for codes and go from there
If it is the one with 2.0 DOHC 4 cyl, the fuel filter is located on the upper right side of the air filter box and all it requires is either a screwdriver or small ratchet with sockets.

It doesnt have a conventional filter. It will have a bolt on the opposite side to the sump bolt which when removed will have a spring then a small gauze basket filter. This can be cleaned with a solvent and re-fitted. I have never had to change one but if it is damaged then you will probably want to replace it.
The fuel filter is located uner the rear colum of the rear RHS door. It is usually located in a small frame & the hoses clip on & are held in place by a small clip. Easier to undo the bolts holding the whole system first, then the cover over the filter. Aussie Bill
The cabin air filter can be reached by removing the small panel at the back of the glove box. The panel is held in place by some small push clips, and is pretty easy to remove. The filter is located just behind the panel and should slide right out. Good Luck.
You are joking....right?? Front passenger side, small "oil-filter-like-looking" oil filter. Place hand (or appropiate size oil filter wrench) on filter....turn. (lefty-loosy, righty-tighty) remove, replace with new one. Now you're cookin!!
