1. Remove the wipers....Pull the wiper off of the window and the slide the tab near where the wiper is attached outward - away from the wiper. Lift the wiper off.

2, Remove the 5 small screws on the plastic piece right under the windshield, then with the hood open, remove the three larger screws that hold the piece in place.

3. Remove the plastic under the other piece by prying gently so that the tabs that hold it in place 'release'.

Now you can see and get to the wiper mechanism(s). What I found to be the easiest is to do most of the assembly with all the parts OUTSIDE of the car and then slide the completed assembly back in and pop on the link to the motor (which is not too easy!

4. Remove all the wiper parts by removing the three screws that hold each wiper 'pivot' point in place. You can remove the arm that goes from the wiper motor crank up to the driver's side wiper by prying it away from the wiper motor crank.

Once you have everything out you should be able to better see how the bushings fit together and pry the ones apart and remove them. To reassemble - I found it easiest to put the new bushing in the metal 'arm' first and then popping it onto the shaft by hitting it (not too hard) with a hammer. Pay attention to how the different arms are oriented (make a drawing?) so you do not do what I did....assembly it all only to find that I had the linkage to the wiper motor turned the wrong way! Once you get the mechanism back in it is simple to reassemble everything in the reverse order that you took it apart.

Good luck!
