It will fit but it will not work. The 94 transmission is computer controlled and the 88 truck does not have the right computer or transmission wiring harness in it.
Only if you change the wire harness, computer and transmission. All are different
The solenoids are inside of the transmission, You will have to remove the transmission pan and filter and they will be bolted onto the valve body in the transmission. You need to check and inspect the transmission wireing harness before replacing the shift solenoids.
physically it will fit but the wire harness and computer are not compatible.
NO. The wireing harness and computer in the 1500 won't hook up to the 2500 transmission. You must put the 4L60E back in it.
It's in the wireing harness going to the transmission computer system.
The harness for the transmission speed sensors is on the transmission.
NO. The transmission wiring harness on the 1500 will NOT hook up to the 4L80E transmission and the COMPUTER / ECM will not operate the 4L80E. The 1500 MUST have the 4L60E put in it.
YES, if you know what you are doing. You will need the complete engine and transmission wiring harness and computer plus the fuel pump for the 5.3L engine. The wiring harness and computer on the 97 will NOT work.
Yes, along with the wiring harness, transmission, radiator,
It needs the 4L80E transmission put back in it so the computer can do what it is supposed to do and the wiring harness will hook up to the transmission correctly.
AS FAR AS A DIRECT BOLT IN AND DRIVE, NO. The 92 truck computer system and wireing harness is NOT even CLOSE to being the same as the 97 therefor the transmission won't even shift. The 4L80E is a electronic transmission. That is what the E stands for. ( electronic ). Now there may be someone out there that sells a aftermarket wireing harness and computer that will shift that transmission. I don't know.
