You will not fix a transmission issue this way. If you want to erase the PCM KAM data, disconnect the battery for 5 minutes. What that will do is erase all learned stradegies, revert the PCM back to original stradegies, and force the PCM to relearn everything, which it will have everything relearned in one drive cycle.
This is not going to fix your problem though. You have either a transmission problem or a transmission control issue. The PCM learned stradegy is not the problem.
This could be caused by a shift solinoid. The transmissions these days are controlled by the computer. Not knowing exactly what the car is doing or exactly what tranny it has leaves me to guess. The other option is that the tranny is going out slowly. This could be caused by a shift solinoid. The transmissions these days are controlled by the computer. loose cooler lines to the radiator or a broken one, front or rear tranny seal, a bad O ring on the dipstick tube, or the tranny oil pan gasket.
A missing wire would cause an incomplete circuit.A missing wire would cause an incomplete circuit.
A common cause for this issue is missing software or drivers. Another reason could be a damaged drive that no longer works properly.
dirty tranny fluid
The Bands in the transmission are slipping/ the tranny is bad.
Because there are lines running from the radiator to the tranny, this lets the fluid flow through and be cooled so that it does not over heat in the tranny and cause damage to your bands inside your tranny.
Disk qoutas
no
Depends on what type of vehicle you have.
no, maybe a second gear lock that is activated if computer gets code from transmission.you can still drive it but slowly.if it just stopped you obviously need to refill tranny,i suspect you have "possibly" done damaged to tranny if this condition has happened. You can try dropping tranny pan .changing filter and putting in new transmission fliud.then see if it comes back to life.
No. Low fluid alone should not cause that.
