To reset the ECU on a Peugeot 206 HDi 2.0 Turbo Diesel, disconnect the negative battery terminal and leave it disconnected for about 15-30 minutes. This allows any residual power to drain and can help reset the ECU. After reconnecting the battery, start the vehicle and let it idle for a few minutes to allow the ECU to recalibrate. If necessary, you can also use an OBD-II scanner to clear any error codes directly from the ECU.
remove the centre console and its under there, around the handbrake
to my knowledge the 206's are all fuel injected, so the cold start is controlled by the engine ECU.
207 will not start 1.4 hdi above radio it says ecu fault
To remove the ECU from a Peugeot 206, first disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety. Then, locate the ECU, which is usually found behind the dashboard or in the engine bay. Carefully unplug the wiring harness and any associated connectors, ensuring not to damage them. Finally, unbolt the ECU from its mounting bracket and gently remove it from the vehicle.
What about it? If you want to know where it is, remove the centre console from around the handbrake and its under there.
No, as far as I can see it does not.
