You do not have to reset the fuel pump just because the battery went dead.
un hook the battery then rehook battery should reset if not then bad sensor some where
Out of fuel, battery dead, etc. Need more information as to what is going on. It takes 3 things for the engine to run. Fuel, Air, & Spark. Which one of these are you missing?
There is no reset just discontect your battery for 10 seconds
It appears that if you disconnect the battery for 5 seconds you get your reset.

There is no fuel reset switch on any model cobalt if i remember u can do that by disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes.. that will reset the computer
Disconnect the negative cable (black) from your battery terminal for 15 minutes. This should reset most if not all of your car, including the fuel pump.
simply disconnect the battery for 30 seconds and it will reset all of your learned fuel trims in your ecu

Did you disconnect the battery for a while?
It has a dead battery, gas will not help this condition. LOL. They is a manual release in the passenger door that will open the fuel door, but you still need a battery.
Above the battery. It is a switch with a rubber top were you can push to reset it
