on my 2.3 5cl pins 2 and 4 are shorted on the obd plug in the engine bay and the a timing light is used to align the line on the flywheel. shorting the obd plug sets the ecu to stay at 6 degrees the all you must do is rotate the distributor. there is a 0 mark and a line, the line is the 6 degree mark.
