A/T have a fluid line that runs through the cooling radiator of your car. My best guess is this tube is cracked inside your radiator. The radiator will needs to be replaced.

I am not sure, but I believe that automatic transmissions often use engine coolant for cooling, and I suspect that there is a leak in the transmission. Transmission Fluid cooling radiators are separate from the engine radiator, and transmission fluid is pumped through them by a pump. They usually are not stock items, but have to be added on.

You probably should take the vehicle to a transmission shop, and have them check it out. Coolant will dilute the transmission fluid, and possibly corrode the transmission parts.

Why would the color of antifreeze be red?

Sounds like transmission fluid is getting in to your antifreze. Some types of antifreeze are normally red in color.

How do I stop antifreeze from getting water into the oil on a 1994 Ford Taurus?

Change the head gasket.

Can antifreeze be red in color?

Antifreeze is typically green, but the newer stuff is "gold". If you're getting red liquid leaking from the radiator it's probably the transmission coolant line.

What does it mean when there is white in your antifreeze?

This means that there is oil getting in your antifreeze. More than likely you have a blown head gasket. Stop driving this vehicle until you have this repaired.

What would happen if you put antifreeze in your transmission?

antifreeze is intended only for an engine, not for a transmission. there is coolant FOR a transmission, i would say that there would not be sufficient cooling for the transmission. it would probably overheat.

Can you use an automatic transmission fluid to clean engine?

NO!!!! do not do this, oil is oil, transmission fluid is transmission fluid, and antifreeze is antifreeze, do not mix any of these, it can perminately damage your engine.

Why is there antifreeze in your transmission fluid?

the cooling tank in the radiator for the transmission is bad

Can antifreeze leak from the transmission on 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport?

From the transmission? No? But antifreeze & transmission fluid can mix. Your transmission uses a small portion of the radiator as a transmission cooler, normally at the very bottom or side. In very rare instances, this cooler can develop a leak and allow transmission fluid and antifreeze to mix together. The only fix is to replace the radiator.

Why is there transmission fluid in the antifreeze?

The transmission cooler (possibly part of the radiator) has failed
