A Plymouth Breeze alternator bracket can break due to several factors, including metal fatigue from prolonged use, improper installation, or excessive vibrations from the engine. Corrosion or rust can weaken the bracket over time, especially if exposed to harsh environmental conditions. Additionally, if the alternator is overloaded or if there are misalignments in the drive belt system, it can place undue stress on the bracket, leading to failure. Regular maintenance and inspections can help prevent such issues.

How does a car break the alternator bracket. I have a 1995 Chevy Astro Van and it has broken the alternator bracket twice in about a week or 2. I replaced it and it broke again. How does this happen?

do you mean the aluminum bracket holding the alternator broke at the bolt holes? do you know that there should be a steel bracket BEHIND the alternator also? when engine usually replaced, sometimes this steel bracket is not replaced and instead a shorter bolt is used to fasten alternator (3 bolts) to aluminum bracket. there should be a longer bolt which goes from the front of the alternator on the left side, thru the alternator and thru that steel bracket and into part of engine?? this part not clearly understood as explained to me by mechanic husband. he had the same problem and corrected when bracket kit purchased from local Chevy dealer; about $197 in Hawaii. hope this bit helps...

2004 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.3ltr alternator bracket broke and the Dodge dealer says you will need to replace timing chain?

Having a piece break off your alternator bracket shouldn't have any impact on your timing chain unless the piece somehow hit it/got stuck, and that seems highly unlikely.

Removing crankshaft pulley on a 98 Plymouth breeze?

You need a special harmonic damper puller. It's a variant of a basic 3-jaw puller that it made stronger so that it wont break.

How do you change alternator in 1989 Honda accord lxi?

Mine went out this month, the only real way was for my mechanic to "drop the axle, to get to the alternator from the bottom". Above is not entirely true. Here is a 1/2hr removal procedure. It is very simple, dont be intimidated. Did it on my nephews 89 accord From Top Remove battery Ground Remove top alternator nut/adjusting screw mechanism From Bottom Remove bottom hanger bolt THEN remove bottom bracket (2 bolts) Spin alternator around and remove plug and wiring Now at this point the only thing that wont allow the alternator to fall through of course is the axle. Look at the engine block just in front of the bottom bracket you just removed. There is an engine assembly hole casting. This loop casting that protrudes out is ONLY used to install the engine. A 4" grinder quickly slices this cast iron loop off. The Alternator will fall through with a little wiggling...worked awesome. DONT USE A HAMMER TO BREAK OFF THAT LOOP ...YOU MAY BREAK TO FAR...LOTS OF ROOM>>> GRIND IT.

How much weight can a ceiling bracket hold?

The weight a ceiling bracket can hold depends on the type of bracket and where it is placed. A solid metal bracket secured into a ceiling joist can hold quite a lot of weight. A smaller, weaker bracket or one that is secured only into sheet rock should only hold about a pound. A bracket that expands after installation should be used when not securing to a joist for heavier loads. Otherwise, the bracket may break or pull through the sheetrock. Check the bracket packaging for weight limits on the bracket itself.
