The amount of time a Golf cart battery will last depends on the quality of the battery, the climate, and how well it is taken care of. A cheap battery in warm climate will last 1-2 years, and in cool climate 2-3 years. A premium quality battery should last 3-4 years in a warm climate and 4-5 years in a cool climate. A good quality battery desulfator will extend the life of a battery.

Can I replace three 8 volt batteries with two 12 volt deep cycle marine batteries in golf cart.?

it should work as long as the batteries are connected in series + to - what you would need to check is if the charger for the cart charges 24v or 8v if it is 8v you would need to get a 24v charger for it it would be possible to charge the batteries with a 12v charger but it would need to be hooked to each battery separately

How long does it take to charge 6 batteries in a golf cart?

average golf cart battery is 110 amps. if you have 6 batteries in a 36 volt system, and you use a 20 amp charger it could take up to 5 1/2 hours (depending on the state of charge of your batteries when you begin the charge). Were they at 50% charge? Were they at 20% charge? Pop a cap and check with a hydrometer before you begin your charge and then you can calculate how long. Be sure and use the amperage of your charger in the formula.

To replace 4 12volt conventional batteries in your golf cart that runs on a 48 volt system Can you substitute AGM batteries?

Yes, you can substitute AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) batteries for conventional lead-acid batteries in a 48-volt golf cart system. AGM batteries are compatible as long as they are rated for the same voltage (12 volts each) and have similar amp-hour ratings. They offer advantages like deeper discharge capabilities, lower self-discharge rates, and maintenance-free operation. However, ensure that the AGM batteries fit your cart's battery compartment and are properly charged with a compatible charger.

Ibought a used golf cart the batteries were all dry i filled them but the battery charger would not charge the batteries it is a 2002 club car?

the collective voltage of this cart is 48 volts . fully charged it will be anything up to 51 or 52 volts . If the voltage of your batteries is less than say 41 volts because they are very very low then your charger will not kick on. You will have to charge the batteries one at a time using a car battery charger. The golf cart charger you have will only turn on and charge when the batteries are above a certain voltage . You are obviously below that. Or you batteries are simply no good at all because they were dry for to long . Go to your local batteries plus store and have them check them for free.

How do you fix 6 volt golf cart batteries when the cells are reading bad?

I would not recommend trying to save your old 6V Batteries. Attempting to save old golf cart batteries can be dangerous. If your old batteries have "swelled" or gotten enlarged where the battery is bulging out, it is time for replacement. There is a chemical solution that can be added to the old batteries to give them some more life, but it will NOT last long. In fact, I would gamble to say that they would probably fail within 3 months. Really not worth the hassle of purchasing the chemical, charging all the batteries only to have them quit on you. I too am looking for 6V Deep cycle batteries and I have found "they ain't cheap!" I would recommend saving your money and purchase a high end golf cart batteries and get the 5-7 years of use out of them. Anything else would be like putting a band-aid on a bullet wound. You can expect to pay anywhere from $90-$225 for each 6V battery, depending on the brand. Trojan Batteries being some of the best out there.
