The 4 cylinder engine takes 4.25 quarts. The 6 cylinder engine takes 5.5 quarts. These are approximate, check the dipstick to adjust the oil until full.
honda passport's transmissions were made by GM , only use a dexron 3 (if you can find it) the alternative would be a dexron 6 ( works great on mine.)
You would divide quarts by '4' to find how many gallons.
Pull the tranny fluid dipstick out, and pour it down that tube with a funnel. who ever is answering this question about 1999 Honda passport needs to go back the school! duma$$ Well. i would like to recomend using castrol syntec 10w30, 5w30 in colder weatheri have over 200,000 on my Honda passport. the cost about $2.87 at most autoparts and dicount stores
typically 4.5 quarts, Honda dealerships recommend Mobil 5000 oil as so do I, and my integra would agree with 170,000 and still runs like a brand new car..
If you can document the name change, for instance, you can renew your passport in the mail. You would provide the legal documentation. Check out the us passport service guide website for more information.
that would be 6.0 quarts with filter change
-- Take the number of quarts-- Multiply the number by 4-- The answer is the number of cups
Down the hole that the dipstick is in. Do not over fill! ummm sorry but the 1997 honda passport does not have a dip stick to check or refill the tranny....does have a drain plug where you can check it...but really needs to go to proff.
