at sea level the 1098 is supposed to have 160 hp at the crank, but to the wheel probably around 145 hp. After installing a full exhaust system and changing out the air filter to a better one and swapping the ECU out, probably gain 10 maybe 12 more hp. Those are rough estimates but I have been told if you dump 30,000 you can have engine work done at boulder motorsports in Colorado and it will outperform the 200+ hp Desmosedici Ducati that costs 75,000.
160 HP
Loads :-)
it goes poopies
The successor to the Ducati 1098 was the Ducati GL 7020 which had a larger manifold intake and more ccs. It also had a heavier duty frame with more titanium in the frame to withhold wear better.
In World Superbike, 1000cc for the Japanese bikes. 1098 for the Ducati
The rear sprocket size on a 2008 Ducati 1098 is typically 39 teeth. This setup is part of the bike's gearing, which contributes to its performance characteristics. If modifications have been made, the size may vary, so it's always good to verify for specific bikes.
mine goes 70 it has a yosh pipe, full jet kit,rev box and a filter kit
Ducati Desmosedici D16RR NCR M16, is the most expensive ducati motorcycle with a price tag of $232,500.
Properly installed, that system is good for about a 10% bump in horsepower...so figure about 15 hp give or take a few ponies. The system is very LOUD so be prepared to wake the neighbors.
