The 1999 Oldsmobile Silhouette typically requires about 12 quarts of Transmission Fluid for a complete fluid change, including the torque converter. However, if you're simply performing a fluid top-off or a partial change, you may need significantly less. Always check the owner's manual for specific details and ensure to use the recommended type of transmission fluid for optimal performance.
8 quarts

There is no transmission dipstick. They have a sealed transaxle. You should never have to add or replace fluid.
The 1999 Olds Intrigue does have a dipstick. Use a funnel to add fluid as needed into the dipstick tube.
Transmission fluid is inside the transmission.
If your car is the 2.4 version then I can help. Under your intake tube their is this little RED Cap on top of your transmission. You have to drain your trans first then unscrew the RED cap and refill transmission with 4 quarts of trans fluid.
No such thing.
How do you check the transmission fluid level on 1999 jetta GLS?
The automatic transmission of a 1999 Dodge Durango requires ATF+4 transmission fluid.
Between the engine and firewall labeled TRANS. Under the Air Filter/ Intake box there is a red cap on the transmission for putting in fluid. There is no dipstick that I know of on a 1999 Cutlass w/ 3100 "J" motor.
All of the transmission fluid is inside the transmission. There is no external reserve.
