Depends on it being a 3.0L or 3.9L engine. On a 3.0L unfortunately you must remove the intake manifold carefully. Just as well carefully detach small hoses and electrical connectors to small sensors. A small mirror and flash light will come in handy at this point. There are 12 bolts, which 8 are small in length and 4 large so take note where they came from. You can leave the throttle cables in tact. The EGR valve must be unbolted and then piping removed. Once intake has become free without force it should move upward and stand up above cylinders opposite side. At this point disconnect connectors on coil packs located above the plugs. Use an 8mm deep socket to remove locking nut. Coil packs should easily be lifted. Plugs will then be visible. Area inside this should be clean and dry. If oil is seen this will cause shorting out of the spark plug and engine will hesitate and or misfire. And so the Valve cover gaskets will need replacing. I hope this helped. Thx, Ted AKA (Tn itup)
what engine?
( 6 spark plugs ) for your V6 engine in a 2003 Lincoln LS
oil leaking on your spark plugs in your Lincoln LS because you have a leaking valve cover gasket.
kinda goes without saying
because your valve cover seals are bad... fix it before you will get issues with coil packs... and change the spark plugs while at it...
How do you change the lamp on the license plate of a lincoln ls 2000?
To change the spark plugs on a 2004 Lincoln LS, first, disconnect the negative battery cable for safety. Remove the engine cover if necessary, then locate the spark plugs by following the ignition coils. Carefully disconnect the ignition coil connectors and unbolt the coils to access the plugs. Use a spark plug socket to remove the old plugs, gap the new plugs to the manufacturer’s specification, and install them, followed by reattaching the coils and connectors, and finally reconnecting the battery.

The LS has 1 spark plug per cylinder. The V6 model will have 6 spark plugs and the V8 model will have 8.
