The knock sensor on that vehicle is located under the intake manifold. The intake manifold must be removed to gain access to the knock sensor.
the intake manifold is made in with the throttle body plenum located on top of the engine. There is a plastic covering that needs to be removed first. Be careful when removing the intake manifold. There is a retaining bolt on the back side that isn't visible and the emission control valves attached on back of the plenum have electrical connectors that are easily severed if not removed with caution.
