What are hooks?

Hooks are curved, barbed items for catching fish.Hooks allow modules to interact with the Drupal core. Drupal's module system is based on the concept of "hooks". A hook is a PHP function that is named foo_bar(), where "foo" is the name of the module and "bar" is the name of the hook. Each hook has a defined set of parameters and a specified result type.To extend Drupal, a module need simply implement a hook. When Drupal wishes to allow intervention from modules, it determines which modules implement a hook and calls that hook in all enabled modules that implement it.

Is it a 4-wheel drive ? If it is then that so called vacuum hose hooks to the VENT TUBE on the transfer case and will be clamped to a small bracket that should be bolted to 1 of the top transmission bell housing bolts. The transmission does not have any vacuum hose's on it.

Why would your truck stall when you press on the brake after changing the transmission?

Some older trucks that had a vacuum line that operated what was called a vacuum modulator. I would make sure that line was hooked up properly and replace the rubber portion of it, if it shows any age at all. That is replace the rubber portion where it hooks to the trans and up top at the intake or where ever it hooks up on your truck. If you put a different trans in the truck and didn't use say that vacuum line, plug it off so you don't have an open vacuum leak. That was the basis for my whole answer. Sounds like you have an open vacuum leak. When you press on the brakes, the vacuum brake booster takes a lot of vacuum from the engine and the engine is suffering. Common sense tells me anyway. Hope this helps and Good Luck.

How do you change the ABS control module on a Ford 2001 Windstar?

Removal Prior to removal of module, it is necessary to upload module configuration information to a scan tool equivalent to Ford's NGS,WDS, or PDS. This information needs to be downloaded into the new module once installed. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the hydraulic control unit (HCU) dust shield, located directly uder the driver's door area fastened to the subframe. Disconnect the anti-lock brake control module electrical connector. Slide the connector lock rearward. Remove the three HCU bracket to frame bolts. Lift the bracket hooks from the frame and lower the HCU to access the anti-lock brake module. Be sure to lift straight up to avoid damage to the HCU components. Remove the anti-lock brake module. Remove the bolts. Installation Once the new module is installed, it is necessary to download the module configuration information from the scan tool into the new module. NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn its strategy. NOTE: Clean the top of the HCU before installing the new module. NOTE: Clean the harness and module sides of the electrical connector before connecting. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
