Turbonator, Tornado, Cyclone, or whatever they are called, simply do not work. They do not increase H.P. nor Mileage. In fact they may hurt both. The Turbonator makes this claim and I quote. "More Power: Are you looking for more power from your wheels? Whether you have a stock or aftermarket intake system, the Turbonator can add up to 35 horsepower to your vehicle.* Fuel Savings : Turbonator users have reported MPG increases from 10 to 22 percent. Results will vary depending on your driving habits and the condition of your vehicle". These claims alone should send you running. A 22 percent increase in MPG on a car already getting 25 would be 5.5 MPG. Also a claim of an increase of 35 H.P. is ridiculous. The swirl effect they claim to create is already there with a stock system. There is no magic device to increase H.P. except a computer tuning chip. They will increase H.P. but usually at the expense of Mileage. Things like headers, dual exhaust, will give you a slight increase but at a high cost.

NO. Its garbage.Yes. The turbonator works on vacuum of your engine... de diameter is about 3 inch... and fits on many fuel injected cars...when starting your engine with the double vinned turbonator in your airtube.....the vacuum sucks air trough the 2 vins inside the turbonator..creating vortex like a hurricane..the airflow the airflow spins,and can add more air in the air intak tube.when you speed up the rpm,the vins will flow faster by the more vacuum,when speeding up.De Mass Airflow Meter widens up,more open,en the injectors will add more fuel to the airstream at that moment..The rule for all injectors is ..1 pond fuel with 15 pond air.... The ECU handles this ratio at all time.The ECU is a calulating instrument. with progammed EPROM chip.using voltages and ohms, it calculatesLAMBDAairflow.air temp...time to ignite,knocksensors against missfiring,etc.The ECU uses always this mixture... More air More Fuel.....The turbonator gives faster more air but don't disturb the ECU or AFM meter....The orignal flow of the engines vacuum is only speeded up by this vortex turbine....I have a 6 ilinder 24v motor with to airtubes... i have put in each tube this double vinned turbinator....The airflow is a little bit like a turbocharger...but a cheap way to get your engine upgraded for a little bit more power and less consumption...Hope you understand the texture i wrote...I am from the Netherlands ,and being busy tuning my road and rallycar ....Cheers Michael de Ru
