If there is no humming noise from the fuel pump on a 1994 Chevy Astro after you replaced the relay switch and no power is getting to it do you need replace a fuse?
The fuel pump will only be active for about 5 to 10 seconds if the engine isn't running. Make sure you have someone turn on the key while you are right next to the tank, otherwise you may not hear it. There should be a LARGE fuse under the hood. You may need to get a shop manual to figure out where the fuse is. Engineers put the fuses in different places, probably just to annoy the people who have to keep their engines running. ;) added by CamaroLuver: Yeah if the fuse is bad it needs replaced. I hope for your sake that's all it is. In my camaro I am having a similar problem. Replaced the fuel pump, relay and the fuse is in perfect condition. Even replaced the fuel pump relay connector, which was hard to find. We've summed it up to an electrical problem, since the A/C relay had power, but the wires to the fuel pump relay didn't, and now the A/C relay wires have no power either. It's a pain.

Make sure that there is power getting to the ac clutch when the switch is jumped. If the power is there then the clutch is bad and needs to be replaced.
