is likely out of freon, pressure switch in accumulator will not allow compressor to start without refrigerant charge- have system serviced and recharged
It is the large round silver thing on the passenger side near the firewall. Follow the large hose from the compressor and it connects with it.
the ECM is mounted on the drivers side fender well, it should have 2 or 3 large plugs going to it.
The large opening of the compressor sucks in air to be compressed and burnt in the engine.

Drivers side, below break fluid resevoir, between compressor and firewall ---See Below--- The low-pressure port usually has a blue or black dust cap and is located on the larger diameter metal tubing that runs between the evaporator (in the dashboard) and the compressor. To locate the low-pressure port: # Find the compressor. # Find large diameter metal tubing that leads from the compressor back to the fire wall. # Find port on this tube. Our quick-connect coupler should fit onto this port. To be sure, compare with the port on the other tube (smaller tube) that leads from the compressor to the condenser near the radiator. This port is larger and is the High Side port. Our quick-connect coupler will NOT fit on the High Side port. # Do not attempt to connect to the high side port as this can cause a can of refrigerant to explode. # Sometimes the low side port is on-or-near the compressor, sometimes it's on an accumulator near the firewall…not on the large diameter metal tube.
Yes, you can pack a large shampoo in your checked luggage as long as it complies with the airline's regulations on liquids and gels.

You need to locate the switch on the evaporator canister that is located on the passenger side firewall. IT should look like a large can wraped in foam. Unplug the switch and jump it with an insulated wire. It should engage the clutch on the compressor when jumped.

There are multiple places to look. There should be a sticker on the evaporator box under the hood on the firewall. Should see a large R-12. This may also be on the AC compressor itself. It will tell you the capacity in Pounds. Also check the manual, or a repair manual.
The dimensions allowed for a large checked bag are typically around 62 inches (length width height) and a weight limit of 50 pounds.
