Yes few times it did I had to go start the car then leave it un lock, but now when i drive the locks and inside lights comes on, so im thinking the alarm system gone by, but no money to be guess or fixing so i just want to disarmed but be able to lock my doors with my key?
Because the car alarm needs to be disarmed before you open the door. It's not connected to your door locks.
well obviously if you open it you will find out
Leave driver's door open when replacing the battery. It's when upon installation of battery, you open driver's door and the alarm activates, right? Leave door open during installation. Same goes when you are charging up the battery, leave door open.
On a 1996 Camry. you just gotta turn your car off, than open the door then the alarm will sound, after you close the door, turn the car on (not the engine), and then turn the switch to off, it is located by the handle to open the roof. Then alarm should turn off.
shut the door lock and then unlock it again if this doesn't work on ur model leave door open unlock trunk...
You break into your own car and see if an alarm goes off. Remain in vehicle and try locking all doors with remote or electric door lock switch Then try unlocking door with manual release and open door - alarm should sound off
If you can't turn the alarm off or unlock the door they will break the door open and worry about the alarm later.
If You Just Press The Button Once It (horn) Does Not Sound.. Try Pressing Button Twice.... To Test Your Car Alarm Roll Down Your Driver Side Window,Get Out And Set The Alarm; Then Reach In And Open Door, Alarm Should Sound... If Not Have It Serviced........ Hope This Helps....
How have you locked the car? If you locked it with the key, then the alarm probably isn't armed anyway. If you did manage to lock it with the remote, then unlock with the key. Open the door, and imediately put the key in the ignition and turn the ignition to the run position. The car will recognise the transponder chip in the key, and switch the alarm off if it has started sounding.
This answer is to deactivate the alarm after disconnecting the battery. If it is not reset, the car will honk and flash its lights at you incessantly. First locate the alarm kill switch. It is a little metal toggle located under the dash, behind the hood release. It is easiest to find if you actually stick your head under there and look for it. Second, flip it into the down (off) position. Then, LEAVING THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR OPEN, reconnect the battery. (If you do not leave the door open, the alarm will sound when you open it.) Put the key in the ignition and move to the "on" position (not "start"). Flip the toggle switch back to the up (on) position and start the car.
No you can't set the alarm when the door is open, the obpc has to read a closed curcit, like say for your home alarm system,if any of the zones shows open it will not allow you to arm it till you close all curcits....i hope this helped
Open the door and it will turn off
