The same thing happened to my 1995 Tercel. I guessed that it was the Alternator. To test if it was, I disconnected the battery while the car was on, and it instantly turned off, which confirms that indeed the alternator is dead. My mechanic also confirmed it. I bought a new one for $95, and once the mechanic changed it, the lights turned off. The same thing happened to my 1995 Tercel. I guessed that it was the Alternator.
