you have to snort the powder for it to be good
battery tests good, alternator tests good, new voltage regulator installed and still no charge to battery from altanator .
If the battery turns the engine over as it should then the battery is good.
If the alternator is good then the battery is bad.
If you charge the battery and it is not working then there is something wrong with the battery. Batteries are not usually repairable.
could be an ignition switch, also, just because a battery reads 12 volts, doesn't necessarily mean it has the AMPS to do the job.... a bad battery can still read 12VOLTS... good luck :)
Fully charge the battery and have it load tested at anyplace that sells batteries.
Yes..very intriguing..great character ensemble. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
start back at the battery, are the leads corroded? is there a clicking noise when the starter is engaged but the starter wont turn? are the leads from the battery to the starter in good condition. Usually any sign of a white powder around the battery or a lot of dirt is a sign of needing attention. The clicking could be a starter relay aor the starter itself needing replacement.
Hard to say as it depends on the battery and how good it is. A good battery can sit for 6 months and easily still start a car and 1 year is not out of the question.
Try the cables from your battery and alt. Sometimes these can corrode.
Yes. an alternator can be good but you can still have charging problems if:- 1.Battery is no good. 2.Fan belt slack or worn. 3.Poor or broken wiring connections at alternator. 4.Loose or dirty battery conections. 5.poor or broken wiring between alternator and battery. 6.Alternator rating not large enough for application.
Yes if it is a sealed battery. Even if it is not sealed it may still be good. connect it to a battery charger and see if it will take a charge.
