In the 1996 and 1997 Nissan Maxima, there is no specific fuse dedicated solely to the odometer. Instead, the odometer is part of the vehicle's instrument cluster, which is powered by the same fuse that controls other dashboard functions. If the odometer is not functioning, it may be due to a faulty speed sensor, wiring issues, or problems within the instrument cluster itself. Checking the relevant fuses for the instrument panel is a good first step in troubleshooting.
is there afuse for the odometer at Honda accord 1997
Fuse #32
The fuse box diagram is in the service manual. The 1996 Maxima manual is available through most auto parts.
In a 1996 Honda Civic LSI, the fuse for the odometer is typically located in the under-dash fuse box. You should check the owner's manual for the exact fuse designation, but it is often labeled as "Instrument" or "Meter." If the odometer is not functioning, inspect the corresponding fuse and replace it if it's blown.
Hi. Check fuse #26 in the interior left side fuse box. I have a 97 Maxima and found that it that to be the problem.
Suggestion is to look in your local area junk yards. Most will have this make/model (1996 Nissan Maxima) and you will find an in place panel fo the fuse diagram.
The most common reason for a 1996 Chrysler Cirrus odometer and RPM gauge to stop working is a fuse. If the fuse is removed from the dash and replaced, often times the odometer and RPM gauge will begin working.
Looking at the fuse panel, it should be the most upper right fuse. 7.5.
i know it is a size 15 fuse. i believe it is the 6th slot down on the left side. it would be the fifth fuse down as there is an unused slot. for me that is. 1997 Nissan maxima v6 manual. mine continually goes out
