my 06 magnum did the same so i took it to the shop and it turns out it was some engine stabalizer bar thing that was broken. the cost was around a grand but i had warranty. the mechanic said that it was the 4th magnum with the same problem so i guess its a frequent occurance
Normally loose tappets will cause a ticking sound in the engine. Depending on if you have mechanical or hydraulic tappets you may need to have them replaced or simply adjusted.
Yes.
the pullee to any belt could be bent
That is possible.
Sometimes a ticking sound is a valve lifter. The faster you go the faster the ticking will be. Make sure first it is not something stuck in a tire or something on the fan belt.
A ticking sound when pushing the gas pedal on a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan could be caused by several issues. It might indicate a problem with the engine's valve lifters, which can create a ticking noise if they are worn or not properly lubricated. Additionally, it could be related to a loose or damaged exhaust component, such as a heat shield. Lastly, a failing accessory component, like a belt or pulley, may also produce a ticking sound under acceleration.
The most likely cause of a ticking sound in a motor is a bad timing belt. A valve out of time can also cause a ticking sound.
Dodge Rams are known for their ticking due to "noisy lifters". This problem has been ID'd by some individuals as Dodge's use of cheap Chinese made lifters for their 5.7s. To get rid of this you would actually need to replace the lifters with after market lifters. Now if you're referring to a tapping+fluttering sound when you accelerate then you will most likely need to check on your valves.
the ticking is the blinkers
Get your brakes tested. I do not know what a ticking sound means.
Its possible that this ticking sound is caused from driving fast for prolong periods. Its possible that its not the engine that is making the sound, but the exhaust system somewhere. I hear a ticking sound if I drive over 140KMh for long periods. It always stops once the car cools. I hopes this helps.
If the ticking sounds like a "normal" ticking, it is probably the fuel injectors.
