(sigh) again no year .make. or model. ok most likely cause is you have a limited slip rear differential and while turning the inside wheel travels less than the outside, the sound and or feeling you are experiencing is the rear diff trying to keep both tires turning at the same rate. The pop is the clutches releasing. might want to get the gear fluid replaced asap.

When the diff lock sticks make sure the diff lock lever is able to move freely. If so drive the tractor in 2nd gear with medium rpms. Sharply hit the brake while slightly turning the steering wheel and NOT touching the clutch. It might take a few times but the diff lock should pop out.

FIRST BLOCK THE REAR WHEELS SO IT DON'T ROLL WHEN YOU REMOVE THE DRIVESHAFT. Then take a screw driver and pop the rear seal out of the transmission tail shaft housing and then tap the new seal in with a hammer being carefull not to bend the seal.
