I personally removed and installed a CD player in a 02 Hyundai accent 3 weeks ago. To remove the center consol begin by removing 2 screws located in the cup holder. the cupholder must be half open to see the screws. Then take a flat head screw driver wrap it in a little bit of electrical tape to prevent it from scratching your interior and pry open the center consol. there are 6 plastic clips that will release with enough pressure. Then removed the 2 stopers in the glove box so the glove box hangs down exposing the the air circulation control modual. its usually a white triangular piece of plastic about 3 inches long with a stiff cable attached to it. Remove the 1 screw in the center of the modual and make sure the wire is not caught on anything. Then look on the drivers side. above the gas pedal behind the plastic cover there is another yellow triangle that looks just like the white modual you removed from before from behind the glove box. This yellow one is connected to your heat dial on your consol so make sure to pay attention to how it is attached before you remove it so that you don't have problems with your heating system when you are finished. remove the single screw from the yellow modual and free the cable attached to the yellow modual by a metal bracket. also remove the same gauge wire directly above it from its bracket. try not to take apart the controls directly above the yellow modual because they are more complex and unnessary to take apart just unlock the wire from its metal bracket. Once this is completed your center consol can be pulled open enough to remove the CD or tape player. there are 4 screws holding it in place that are very obvious. remove them and the uninstallation process is complete. Then to install a new CD player make sure to buy the correct wire harness and splice it to the harness that connects to the CD player. don't forget to insert the radio adaptor in the new CD player and any other extra's you might have for example a Y cable you're using to connect the an auxilary input in the back of the CD player. put your car back together and enjoy.
