You will have to reprogram all the preset radio stations ( if that is what you are referring to ? )
i need to know how to set the radio when you battery goes dead and the radio says code its a 2001 mits monyero sports.
Me too want to know how!!! I changed battery on my 2001 montero and stunned to see need to enter code on radio in order to work. that is sucks!!!
I owe a 2001 doged caravan sport my radio is not working properly after changed the altarnator
I have replaced the battery in my 2001 Galant V-6 twice now, and I never had to remove the radio to find the serial number, to re-program the radio. You should have received an "ID" card with your manual/paperwork, that included a code for re-programming your radio, once the power source has been cut. Instructions for this are in the manual. It's easy, if you have the code. The card itself is red, with white lettering.
Not too hard. Remove radio panel first, then gage cluster.
Go to the dodge place and ask THEM to remove it
With my xg 300, the radio was turning on and off on it's own. I checked the battery and it was bad. Replaced it. Now it's fine again. Go to auto parts store and have your battery checked just in case. Could also be loose battery cables.
There are several potential causes for the radio not powering up on a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. Common issues include a blown fuse, a faulty ignition switch, or a disconnected battery wire. Additionally, the radio itself may be defective or have internal wiring issues. Checking the fuse and connections is a good starting point for troubleshooting.
I BELIEVE the GEM is in the center stack of the dash , behind or just to the left of the radio in your 2001 Ford Explorer Sport ( can anyone confirm that ? )
Any time a battery cable is disconnected the preset radio stations have to be reset and the clock has to be reset ( if that is what you are referring to )
go to radio shack
Try disconnecting the negative battery cable for a moment or two to reset the radio. If it still does it after reconnecting, you probably need to have it fixed or replaced.
