bolted to the back of the engine
What kind of engine you have ?
The water pump is run by the timing belt and in the front center of the engine. You have to remove the fan and all coverings that cover the timing belt to see it and to get to it. While there you should replace the front main seal, the timing belt, and the water pump. About a four hour one-man job. Good Luck!

For your Isuzu NKR truck, it's generally recommended to use a high-quality diesel engine oil that meets the API (American Petroleum Institute) specifications, typically in the range of 15W-40 or 10W-30 viscosity, depending on the climate and operating conditions. Always check the owner's manual for specific recommendations tailored to your model year and engine type. It's also advisable to look for oils that meet or exceed the requirements for diesel engines, such as those labeled with CF or CI-4.
PCV valves are always located on the valve cover, there will be a hose connecting it to the intake tube.
