I wouldn't think the timing belt would be causing you a loss in power. If something was going wrong with the timing belt, I would imagine that you would be noticing all kinds of other problems instead of just a loss of power.I would do a complete tune up.Change the spark plugs,spark plug wires,and cap and rotor.I Also would only use Honda genuine parts.It will cost you around $120(check out eBay for Honda oem parts)

Transmission fluid can be poured through the engine compartment on a Honda Accord. There is a dipstick and reservoir where the fluid can safely be placed.
It is hard to find. Look where the engine bolts to the transmission.
Sounds like the linkage that goes from your gearstick to the transmission needs adjusting.
The 1993 Honda Accord used a F-series engine. The transmission will easily and safely bolt into the 1996 model as it uses the same type of engine.

At the transmission. Look on the right side of the engine down low on the transmission and you will see the dipstick.
A 1992 Honda Accord does not have an Engine oil cooler. It can have a transmission oil cooler, which is built into the radiator.
