There are no timing marks, the crankshaft must be TDC and the camshafts have cuts on the end the cut looks central but it isn't, the low side goes to the bottom and should be locked in place.
Timing marks determine if the car is set on TDC(Top Dead Center). Just to make sure it is in time use a Timing Light. The timing marks are located on the sprocket under the valve cover and on the crankshaft. Timing marks determine if the car is set on TDC(Top Dead Center). there are two kinds of timing marks. one is for ignition timing and one for valve timing.
The timing marks, on your Mitsubishi engine, can be found on the front main pulley. The timing marks will be on the outside edge of the pulley.
The timing marks, on your 1.6 liter engine, can be found on the front of the main pulley. The timing marks will be scattered around the outside of the pulley.
The timing marks can assist a mechanic in setting the engine timing. The number one timing marks will set the number one piston so that the number one valve can be properly adjusted.
The 1996 Geo Tracker 1.6 liter engine timing marks can be found on the outside of the main pulley. The timing marks will be scattered around the pulley.
No there is no timing marks on the power valve it will only go in one way the power valve opens win your bike hits high rpm get a repair manual it $its 20.00 it will help u alot.
If you are talking about ignition timing there are no marks. The timing is controlled by the computer according to various parmeters of sensors. If you are talking about valve timing the camshaft mark is on the head and the crankshaft mark is on the oil pump housing.
To set the valve timing on a Fiat 1.6 16-valve engine, start by aligning the timing marks on the crankshaft and camshaft pulleys to their respective positions as specified in the service manual. Use a timing belt tensioner tool to ensure proper tension on the timing belt after installation. Rotate the engine manually to confirm that the timing marks remain aligned, and ensure that all timing components are securely in place before reassembling the engine. Always double-check your work to prevent any timing-related issues.
i have a mazda 1994 626 v6 24 valve car and i think the timing belt just broke where are all the timing marks crank shaft and cams?
I don't have pictures. There are six pulleys that the belt goes around. There are timing marks on the valve cover toward the timing belt on the front and on the rear. From the rear the marks are two o'clock and ten o'clock. Then two o'clock ten o'clock on the front valve cover. On the crank, it's at one o'clock. However there are marks to show all the timing marks. If changing the timing belt, start on the front and back around the rear down to the crank shaft.
On the 1985 Porsche 944 8-valve, the timing marks are located on the crankshaft and the camshaft. The crankshaft timing mark can be found on the front pulley, while the camshaft timing mark is positioned on the camshaft gear. When aligning the marks for timing, ensure the engine is at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke for cylinder one. Proper alignment ensures the engine runs smoothly and efficiently.
