Your Timing is not lined up properly and/or re-jet your carb.
Several issues can cause a back fire:OverheatingLean mixtureFaulty ignition
you must have air leaking into the exhaust system that will cause backfire when you decelerate raw gas goes into the system
get a crack in the muffler, my friend has a BMW 325i 94 and it backfires, when we checked whats the cause of it, it was because the muffler has a crack on it :p hope this helps :p, but it wont backfire unless the engine gets to a certain heat like the engine's normal heat. Ps. the car is gonna be noisy a bit btw :p
The engine may not be very good or too small and you may be giving it too much gas, thus flooding the engine. I'm not sure but this could be the problem.
because we are forced to use cheap grade watered down gasoline at $4.00 a gallon.. garbage gas
Start by checking the fuel pressure.
Fuel Pump! That's what happened to mine.
No, low gas cannot cause a Check Engine light to turn on. There would have to be a problem within the engine or the engine wiring for that light to come on.
Exhaust of an engine is a gas.
Iodine in a gas tank will run the engine. It will cause rust, and will corrode the engine to the point that the engine will seize.
bad gas
my 1999 did the same thing and I found out it was my transmission.
