Overcharging.
I just put a new battery and alternator in my car, but when i put it in gear or start slowing down to stop..the car die out. Also the brake light is continely on.
You can get a new battery, you can jump start the car with jumper cables and another car with a charged battery. You can also put a battery charger on your battery to give it a charge.
The the alternator is defective.
Go get a new battery using another car. Or get the dead car jump started using another vehicle. There are companies that have mobile battery services that will come right to your home or wherever the car is located and replace the battery.
Is there power to the starter "S" terminal? What car?
Disconnect negative cable first from old battery and connect it last when installing new battery.
A short somewhere along your electrical system. Or a faulty battery. Next time you come in from a drive, disconnect your battery from the car, leave it off for greater than 5 hours. Then re-connect your battery after 5hrs time and see if the car will start. If the car starts then your battery is OK and you will have to trace the short in your electrical system. If the car doesn't start then buy a new battery and you're good to go.

If the battery is defective get a new battery. If you just left something on and ran it down, charge the battery and keep going.
you should go to a car shop and get your battery checked and ask how long should u charge your battery.. or if you should get a new battery
No, it will not damage the car at all, you will need to reprogram your radio when the new battery goes in though.
Parasitic voltage drain. Are you leaving something like an inverter plugged in? If you installed a new car stereo or amp for example and connected to a power source that is "hot" all the time, whatever is on that line will drain the battery all the time.
