What do you mean by "car won't start"? Will it not crank? Will it crank but not start? Any time an engine won't start, always go back to the basics. Check for fuel, spark and compression. If you have additional questions, feel free to contact me at: a_d_kirkwood@excite.com
Wow, um, just wow. Anyway, did the engine crank over before replacing the computer? If so, during the process of replacing the computer did you create a problem with anti-theft or did you forget to reconnect the battery?
There could be several reasons why your Liftmaster remote is not working after replacing the battery. It could be due to a faulty battery, improper installation of the new battery, a malfunction in the remote itself, or a problem with the garage door opener. It is recommended to check the battery, reinsert it properly, and if the issue persists, consider contacting Liftmaster customer support for further assistance.
If the battery is out of the car for more than 6 hours the computer will get rest. If you are removing the old battery and replacing it with a new one immediately you should not have any problems. You also could buy an adapter that plugs into your cigarette lighter which uses a 9V battery to maintain the power to the computer while the main battery is removed. You could buy these adapters at your local auto stores.
It could be that your computer needs a new battery. There could be a problem with the fan that cools your computer. If the computer overheats, it will turn off. There could also be some malicious program that is causing your computer to shut down.
The computer could have become confused. disconnect the battery from the vehicle. Leave it unhooked for several hours. Reconnect the battery. This should reset the computer, and hopefully solve the problem.
The thermostat may still say "low battery" after replacing the batteries with new ones because the issue could be with the thermostat itself, such as a malfunction or a problem with the battery connection. It is recommended to check the battery contacts and ensure they are clean and properly aligned, or contact the manufacturer for further assistance.
Only the computer can tell what made your check engine light come on. It could be your battery. If your battery is bad, replace it and see if that solves the problem. If it does not, then you will have to connect your car to the computer and find out why the check engine light came on.
If your fire alarm is still beeping after replacing the battery, it could be due to a few reasons such as a faulty battery, improper installation, or a malfunction in the alarm itself. It's important to check the battery connection, ensure it is the correct type of battery, and if the issue persists, consider replacing the alarm unit.
It could be that the battery in the remote is low. Replace the battery first. If that does not fix the problem, take it to a shop that repairs car alarms. Many have been fixed just by replacing the battery. Prior to the battery going completely out, it will cause the alarm to misread.
Your most likely problem is your ignition module...Its a computer on the left side behind the battery....Just follow the hose from your air cleaner it will lead you right to it. This happened with my lebaron as well, but it turned out to be the oxygen sensor was shorting out. If this doesn't solve the problem...try replacing the ASD relay. (auto shutdown). We had that problem with ours
It could be a sensor as well as many other things and its best if you scan the vehicles computer to pinpoint the problem instead of just replacing parts.........
First, why was the battery replaced? If there was a pre-existing problem (like a bad starter, for example), replacing the battery will not solve the problem. If, however, the car started fine before battery replacement, then the problem could be that the battery terminals (clamps) were not sufficiently tightened. Don't laugh, but there have been instances where the plastic cap(s) covering the new battery's positive and negative terminals were not removed (duh!). Remove those plastic caps.
