Check all engine drive belts. Sounds like one of them is slipping.
A short high pitched noise could be described as a squeal or a chirp. It is a sharp, quick sound with a high frequency.
These creatures are very vocal. They will squeal at all kinds of things. It will not be a bad thing if it squeals like this if you know there is nothing wrong with it.
If the brake pads come with shims or other anti-rattle hardware and it is not used on the vehicle, the brake pads will vibrate against the rotor as they are being applied and that will cause them to squeal.
It could squeal, squeak, moan, whine, groan, and leak oil.It could squeal, squeak, moan, whine, groan, and leak oil.
A cracked flex plate (flywheel) could be your problem.
The first thing is the oxygen censor could be the issue. There could also be a problem with the fuel pump.
You may have a broken engine or transmission mount.
if its squeaking it could be to do with the suspension joints or the the suspension bushes, you will hear this mostly when accelerating, braking or going round corners. if its squealing all the time it could be your cam belt or the brake pad squealers, they squeal when they are too worn out and need replacing.
I had mine rebuilt for around $1,700 using non OEM parts.
If this is a general noise, it could be the transaxle. When you are accelerating, the engine is pushing the gears, and when you let go of the pedal, the vehicle starts to shift back down. If this is an engine noise, it could be predetonation or a valve problem.
That depends on how, when and where it is squealing. For example, if the brakes squeal when applied, the brake pads are probably worn down. A squeal from the engine compartment whenever the engine is running could be a loose serpentine belt (especially if the squeal changes a little when you rev the engine).
When your vehicle hesitates or loses power when accelerating from a stop, it could be for several reasons. You may have a transmission problem, or your fuel pump could be wearing out.
