When the check engine light and the VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) light illuminate simultaneously, it typically indicates a potential issue with the engine or the vehicle's stability control system. The check engine light suggests that the engine's onboard diagnostics have detected a malfunction, which could range from minor issues to more serious problems. The VSC light coming on may indicate that the vehicle is unable to effectively manage traction or stability, often related to the engine performance issues. It's advisable to have the vehicle diagnosed by a professional to determine the exact cause and necessary repairs.
