The "Q" designation on a champion spark plug typically signifies that the plug is equipped with a specific type of resistor or is designed for a particular application. This can indicate features such as reduced electrical noise or improved performance in certain engines. In general, spark plug designations help identify the plug's characteristics and compatibility with various engine types. Always consult the manufacturer's specifications to ensure the right fit for your vehicle.

Is the RC12YC the same as the QC12YC spark plug?

The RC12YC and QC12YC spark plugs are similar but not exactly the same. Both are designed for small engines and have the same 14mm thread diameter and 3/4" reach. However, the RC12YC has a copper core electrode while the QC12YC has a platinum core electrode. This small difference can impact the spark plug's performance and longevity in certain engine types.

Question http://wiki.answers.com/Q/WikiFAQs:Popularity: 45 [http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_correct_gap_for_spark_plugs_on_a_1995_Mitsubishi_eclipse&action=recommend&tid=517] On my '98 GSX it's .032. The manufacture of the plug you buy for you car (your Mitsubishi) should come 'Pre Gaped' ie; no need to gap them. I have or my car has a Mitsubishi engine in it and I use NGK plugs for it. You'll find NGK's in most Motorcycle engines and other high rev engines. IMO.... The best way to be absolutely sure is to go to your local auto parts dealership and ask what the plug gap is for your vehicle. If you can't do that, remember that engine types and therefore their spark plug gaps do not change very much and you have a pretty good answer at a gap of 0.032 inches. Good luck
