Remove the top radiator hose. Remove the water inlet on top of the motor. The thermostat is under the inlet. Replace the thermostat taking care not to place the new on in upside down. Clean off old gasket material from the inlet, install a new gasket and reinstall the inlet and hose.
Drain the radiator. Remove the radiator hose. Remove the inlet from the engine. The thermostat is in the inlet. Replace the inlet and the gasket, and reverse the procedure to finish the procedure.
Irratic idling condition is indication of intake/inlet manifold gasket leak. Change gasket immediately. This particularly applies to EFI engines. Newaz.
oil in the radiator water is normally caused by a faulty inlet manifold gasket.
Is the small tube from the inlet to the overflow tube in place? Sometimes the gasket in the top of the fill valve will go bad and let it spray out of the top.
You probably have a bad head gasket or a cracked head or both.
To change the inlet manifold gasket on a Zafira 1600cc engine, first disconnect the negative battery terminal and remove any necessary components obstructing access to the manifold, such as the air intake and throttle body. Next, unbolt the inlet manifold and carefully lift it off, taking care not to damage any attached sensors or hoses. Replace the old gasket with a new one, ensuring the surfaces are clean and free of debris, then reassemble the manifold and reconnect all components. Finally, reconnect the battery and start the engine to check for leaks.
No.
it does not need to be removed.
