I don't think there is a fuse, sounds like the sender is bad.The sender is located on the fuel pump.the sender wire could be loose, pull rear seats down and pull back the carpet and you can access the fuel pump. The is a cover with about 8 screws.Remove the nuts from the screws and check the sender wires.
You will have to remove the gas tank and install a fuel control module. Before you do you need to have someone check for power and especially the ground for the fuel gauge.
It's not fused separately. If your fuel gauge isn't working, you either have faulty wiring to the gauge, or a faulty fuel sending unit.
# 1 check point..Your sending unit has worn out. No big deal...Easy to replace..
Replace your thermostat had same problem it sets a code but no check engine light
who should i see about a recall on 2005 chevy trailblazer for faulty fuel gauge and not working speed gauge who can i call about this for a recall was bought used
my o6 chevy impala is lighting up on the dash that the engine is hot but the gauge is saying its cold what is wrong and how can i fix it?
To check if the fuel pump is out on a 2008 Chevy Impala, first, listen for a humming sound from the fuel tank when you turn the ignition to the "On" position—this indicates the pump is working. If you don't hear anything, you can check the fuel pump relay and fuse to ensure they are functioning. Additionally, using a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail can help determine if the pressure is within the specified range; low or no pressure typically indicates a faulty pump. If these steps don’t reveal the issue, it may require further diagnostics.
Check oil pressure with a manual gauge
get a circuit tester and start looking with the key on
defective gauge, check the temp of the radiator with a heat gun.
I'm having the same trouble with the 2004 Impala.
get a new temperature sensor.
