What happens if dead battery was installed in a car black to red and red to black then it was jumped started why now with a new battery installed red to red and black to black there is no power at all?

Well the wiring was probably fried, but that is because the terminals were hooked to the wrong wires. Although when you hook a battery up backwards there are many sparks, i do not see how someone would not have noticed that it was hooked up wrong.

have you checked the battery output? it should show right at 13.4 volts, if not, check your alternator output.
