On my '96, the reservoir is indeed on the right (passenger) side of the car. And I'm darned if I can find a radiator cap on the radiator. It's the only place I've ever put coolant, and it's where I added some liquid based stop leak stuff. Perhaps one of the others can illuminate us a bit. FriPilot

yes the air/fluid gets hot and expands. The pressure within the cooling system should be what ever the radiator cap is set for, usually 15 to 16 psi. If it is more than that, replace the radiator cap.

97 s10 blazer 120200 miles do not know if tranny fluid or filter has been changed yet would it be good to change fluid with the high mileage or should you let it ride out?
i dont think its ever a good idea to let 10 year old fluid ride if you wiliing to change it
