Part of the turn signal switch has broken off inside the column.
cause you have to turn it off
In most vehicles, the turn signal automatically turns off when you straighten the steering wheel. In older or malfunctioning vehicles, though, you might have to manually flip the turn signal back to the neutral position.
if its popping back out on its own, its probably just a bad "cam" in the steering column that automaticly turns off your turn signal when you make a turn. If the turn handle stays in that position when it shuts off, it sounds like an electricity ghost. the turn signal has a granny timer on it, to prevent the 100 mile turn signal :) its supposed to turn off by itself if it hasn't been tripped by the steering cam.
When you're going straight down the highway your steering wheel should be "centered", meaning that the emblem should be upright. If the steering wheel is "off center", you may need to have the front end aligned so that the turn signal "cancel" lever catches it without those sharp turns.
If the turn signal no longer turns off automatically, there is probably a broken part inside the steering wheel for the turn signal switch. Part of the mechanism could have broken off and gotten jammed in the path of the lever.
You are turning "off" to far...(to far to the left). Turn the key back to the right till all your inside gages come on then turn back to the 'normal' off position.
If your signal light turns off when you turn on your headlights, it could be due to a wiring issue or a faulty relay. Some vehicles have a shared circuit for the signal lights and headlights, which can cause interference. Additionally, a blown bulb or a bad ground connection may also lead to this problem. It's advisable to check the vehicle's electrical system or consult a mechanic for a thorough diagnosis.
Protein phosphates turn off signal transduction pathways by removing the phosphate groups from the protein kinase, making them reusable and making the kinase inscribe stopping the signal transduction pathway.
As soon as you have changed lanes, you turn off your turn signal.
Your headlights are operated by twisting the end of your turn signal stalk. One forward rotational click, from the off position, turns your running/parking lights on. The next click turns your running/parking and your head lights on. The third click is "auto". In this positions your lights will turn on and off automatically depending on how much ambient light your vehicle is in while driving. Pushing the turn signal stalk forward turns your high beams on. Pulling it back again turns the high beams off. Your daytime running lights stay on whenever the car is running.
Either the unit is broken, or the cam is off center on the steering column, reacting much quicker to left turns than to right turns.
there are 2 small tabs on the turn signal swith in side the steering colum. these turn the signal off when wheel is straightened after turning. if one or both are broken, signal will not turn off automatically
