To reset the SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) warning light on a 2008 Mercedes C300 after replacing or repairing components, you typically need a diagnostic scanner that can access the airbag system. Connect the scanner to the OBD-II port, turn on the ignition, and follow the prompts to clear the SRS codes. If you don't have a scanner, you may also disconnect the battery for about 10-15 minutes, but this may not always reset the SRS light. Always ensure that any underlying issues are resolved before resetting the warning light.

I have a 96 Civic. Air bag warning light came on several days after I had been hit from behind in an accident. Cleared the code such that the light went off for a while. Came back a couple of weeks later.Eventually my battery died and I had it replaced. Once the air bag (SRS) light was turned off, it never came back. And it has been over a year now. Point is, a weak battery can be responsible for this light coming on when the SRS unit is perfectly OK otherwise!
