A Distributor cap is the device that the spark plug wires are connected to. It distributes spark from the ignition coil through the wires to each spark plug.
The marked # 1 position on the distributor cap of a Dodge 440 cubic inch V8 faces to the FRONT / PASSENGER SIDE
Assuming the car starts, but the car does not go when you press the gas, it could be: 1) Water in the gas tank -- you can put in a bottle of some "Heat" from the auto parts store 2) Moisture in the distrubutor cap (assuming an older car) -- remove distrubutor cap, spray the inside of the cap with WD-40, wipe, and put it back on. Without anymore information, that is the best that I can do
It doesn't have a distributor The 4.6 liter is EDIS ( Electronic Distributorless Ignition System ) and the 5.4 liter is Coil On Plug ( C.O.P. )
proly needs a tune up most likely plugs wires distrubutor cap and rotor button
Clockwise.
you can check your local library for the chilton's manuel and xerox a copy and it will tell you word for word what you're looking for
about 6 spark plugs, new distributor rotor, distrubutor cap(if needed),PCV valve & possibly new wires(plugs). Hope this helps
plug it in to the side off a distrubutor
It is built into the distrubutor
no the distrubutor drives your oil pump..
If they are both standard deck height, yes.
first check you timing. Locate no. 1 cylinder and take out your spark plug and rotate your shaft by using the belt, position the crankshaft pulley to top dead center(TDC) to the zero mark on the side of the pulley. Then make sure the no. 1 piston is all the way up. now check the position of the rotor at the distrubutor, should be pointing at no. 1 spark plug on the dist. should be mark no. 1 on the cap of the distrubutor.
