A fuel shutoff valve is a device used in fuel systems to control the flow of fuel to an engine or equipment. It can be manually or automatically operated, allowing for the quick stopping of fuel supply in case of emergencies, leaks, or maintenance. This valve is crucial for safety, helping to prevent fires and spills by ensuring that fuel can be easily cut off when necessary. It is commonly found in vehicles, generators, and various machinery.

I would guess that a cb650 and a cb750 would be the same so the fuel filter is in the shut off valve on the bottom of the fuel tank. You have to drain the tank. Unscrew the locknut securing the fuel shutoff valve to the fuel tank and remove the valve. Put rag under the tank to keep drips off motor - remove the fuel filter from the shutoff valve. Clean with a medium soft toothbrush and blow with compressed air. Replace if defective.
