it is ALDL, or some call it OBD1. It is easier to pull trouble codes off of using a paper clip rather than using a scanner. There is alot of info on the web if you google ALDL
socket mounted on the bottom of the dash, right above the driver's right knee.
I believe that the computer data port or known as the ALDL is located behind the ashtray on a 82 Corvette.
The ALDL (Assembly Line Diagnostic Link) connector is typically located under the dashboard on the driver's side of the vehicle. It is often found near the steering column or to the left of the brake pedal. The connector is used for diagnostic purposes, allowing mechanics to interface with the vehicle's onboard computer systems. Its exact location can vary depending on the make and model of the vehicle.
It's located in a small recess left of the steering colomn on the lower side of the dash.
Get a obd2 scanner code reader, plug it into the ALDL connector under the dash and navigate through until you find what you need.
It should be under the steering wheel on the right side. toward the stereo. you should have to take the cover panel off.
in the fuse box panel under the dash on the right hand side near aldl link
Here are the instructions straight from G.M. 1. Turn ignition off 2. Ground ALDL Terminal K (this is the lower row, 3rd from the right). 3. Turn ignition on (don't start engine) 4. Wait for fault codes to begin flashing (approx 5 seconds). When the codes begin flashing, unground ALDL terminal K for 3 seconds + or - 1/2 second. 5. After ungrounding ALDL K as described in step 3 above, ground it again for 3 seconds + or - 1/2 second. 6. Unground ALDL K and wait 10 seconds. Before turning the ignition OFF, verify that code 12 is the only code being flased (this is the seatbelt/air bag light flashing). If not, codes have not been properly cleared. Repeat from step one if codes not cleared until the codes clear.
There is a schematic diagram of the connectors for all the Corvettes over at Smokinvette.com. Feel free to jump on over and check them out. Good luck!
The ALDL (Assembly Line Diagnostic Link) connection on a 1990 Nissan 300ZX is typically located under the dashboard, near the driver's side. It is often found near the steering column or close to the fuse box. The connector may be covered by a plastic cover, so you might need to remove that to access it. Make sure to check your vehicle's manual for specific details if needed.
A 96 Corsica uses OBD2 as required by law for 96 model years. Use an OBD2 Scanner.
