Automobile Glass fuse
The 2000 Volvo S70 might have more than one fuse for the power windows. One is the ATO/ATC 15 type of fuse (flat, 2-blade, blue colored, 15amp). Another is the PAL050 (50amp, red-colored, two-slot female type).
On my 98 the fuse box is on the drivers side right when you open the door. There is another smaller plastic door. Open that and it will have all your fuses displayed.

The fuse is by the passenger side door behind a plastic cover. The plastic cover has a diagram/schematic of the fuse locations.
Anytime there is a short to ground there is the certainty of a wire getting hot. Another possibility is there may be a wrong fuse introduced the the fuse box allowing the fuse box to get hot prior too popping. Check the fuse parameters and the last job that was completed on your automobile for verification
To change a fuse on the Kia Sportage, locate the bad fuse, and pull it out with a plastic pliers. Insert a new fuse with the plastic pliers and close the fuse box. Disconnect the battery before servicing the fuse panel located on the battery cover.
You may be looking at the fuse upside down... if it's violet colored, it's a 3 amp fuse.
It is in the fuse box behind battery you have to remove the plastic around battery and passenger side wiper plastic pieces to get to it!
Open the fuse box by lifting off the cover. Locate the right fuse by reading the inside of the fuse box cover. Remove the fuse pulling tool located in a slot inside the fuse box. It is a plastic device that resembles a tiny clothes pin. Place the tool slot directly over the fuse to be changed and push it over the colored head of the fuse to be changed. Firmly grasp the tool and lift the fuse out of its slot. Replace with a good fuse of the same rating using the tool to push the fuse into its slot.
Look past engine on firewall, there are two plastic fasteners that hold a plastic cover to fuse boxes. Remove covers and fuse boxes will be exposed.
